Rocío holds a degree in Musical Theatre from the SCAENA Higher Centre for Performing Arts (Madrid). Born in Toledo, she began her musical training at the age of six at the Jacinto Guerrero Professional Conservatory of Music, specialising in the violin. At the same time, she developed a solid foundation in dance – jazz, tap and contemporary – which would shape her approach to the stage.
She trained in modern jazz and Latin jazz with Tony Escartín, joining his company for several years, and also worked under the choreographic direction of Cuca Pon, broadening her versatility and body language.
She is currently part of the musical “The Pillars of the Earth” as a performer, dance captain and assistant choreographer. Previously, she worked on “The Neverending Story” and “El Tiempo entre Costuras” as a swing dancer, dance captain and assistant choreographer.
Highlights of her career include her participation in “La Corte del Faraón” for the Mérida International Classical Theatre Festival, as well as in “Franciscus” at the Euskalduna Theatre, in addition to various audiovisual projects.
Committed to ongoing professional development, she regularly attends advanced training programmes at Steps on Broadway and the Broadway Dance Center (New York), Pineapple Dance Studios (London), and receives vocal coaching from María José Santos.
In the summer of 2024, she performed as a solo dancer at the Sphere in Las Vegas, at an international event organised by Beon Worldwide.
A graduate in Tourism from the Complutense University of Madrid, she combines music, technique and precision in a performance marked by discipline and artistic sensitivity.
