CAST

Noemí Mazoy, born in Lugo, is a singer and actress. She trained at the Royal Higher School of Dramatic Art in Madrid (RESAD) and completed her vocal training with Emelina Castelló. Her dance training encompasses classical ballet, traditional dance, tap, jazz, and contemporary dance, with teachers such as María de Ávila, Karen Taft, and Yoselín Alizar, among others.

She combines her artistic career with teaching, giving classes at the Marand and Memory musical theater schools in Madrid. She currently plays Ellen in The Pillars of the Earth, the musical, while also developing an extensive career in musical theater, zarzuela, and opera.

In musical theater, she has participated in productions such as The Time in Between (Dolores), The NeverEnding Story (Vetusta Morla), The Physician (Agnes), The Sound of Music (Mother Abbess and Maria), The Diary of Anne Frank (Margot and understudy for Mrs. Van Daan), Victor/Victoria (Norma Cassidy), The Phantom of the Opera (understudy for Christine), Annie (Grace), Jekyll & Hyde (Lady Beaconsfield), Peter Pan (Narrator and Tootles), We're On Air (Announcer), and Godspell (Robin).

In the realm of opera, she has performed in zarzuelas such as Non chores Sabeliña, Los gavilanes, Gigantes y cabezudos, La corte del faraón, La verbena de la Paloma, Luisa Fernanda, La taberna del puerto, Doña Francisquita, and Las de Caín; and in opera, she has portrayed Mimì in La Bohème and the High Priestess in Aida.

With her own productions, she has performed concerts and shows for which she has received numerous awards and recognitions, including: Lucense of the Year 2000 (Lugo Radio and Television Association), New Performers 2000 (Teresa Berganza Lyric Association), New Talents Award, Music Prize of the Lugo Choir, Friends of the Opera of Madrid 2002, Best Supporting Actress (BroadwayWorld – Friends of Musicals Organization), Concepción Arenal Foundation Award 2016, and Dama da Vieira Award 2023, among others.
Her discography features notable performances in Non chores Sabeliña, En un salón de La Habana (Axivil Criollo), Jekyll & Hyde, Annie, The Diary of Anne Frank, and The Sound of Music.
