CAST

Julio Morales was born in Santander, the city where he begins his musical studies. He moves to Madrid studying at the Higher School of Singing and attends vocal technique and interpretation courses taught by masters such as Victoria de los Angeles, Alfredo Kraus, Ángeles Chamorro, Raina Kavaivanska, Felix Lavilla, Alberto Zedda, Celsa Tamayo and Enza Ferrari among others.

Awarded at the Francisco Viñas International Singing Competition and at the Plácido Domingo Trophy for young talents of Spanish music. He was selected by Alberto Zedda to perform Semiramide, Scala di seta and Le conte ory at the Rossini Academy of Pesaro.

He starred in the absolute premiere in Spain of Haydn's opera Lo speziale at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville, with great critical and public success.

Additionally, he is invited to participate in opera seasons at Teatro Real Madrid, Gran Liceu de Barcelona, Teatro de la Maestranza de Sevilla, Mozart Festival of La Coruña, Opera Season of La Coruña, Teatro Campoamor de Oviedo, Teatro de la Zarzuela de Madrid, Palacio De Festivales de Santander, Teatro Arriaga de Bilbao, Teatro Pedretti di Sondrio, Teatro Sperimentale di Pesaro, Teatro Cervantes de Málaga, Teatro Villamarata de Jerez...; interpreting roles such as Count Almaviva in The Barber of Seville; Tamino in The Magic Flute; Idreno in Semiramide; Marzio in Mitridate re di ponto; Albazar in Il turco in Italia; Edmondo in Manon lescaut; Gastone in Traviata; Duke of Lerma in Don Carlo; Nireno in Julius Caesar; Conte ivrea in Un giorno di regno; Maese Pedro in El retablo de maese Pedro by Falla (at Teatro de la Zarzuela, International Cervantino Festival of Guanajuato and Teatro de Guadalajara).
